Further to the recent enactment of MONREC Notification N3/2018 on 10 January 2018; companies in nine prioritised sectors including alcohol, food and beverage production, pesticide manufacturing/formulation, cement manufacturing, textile and dying facilities, tanning and leather finishing, foundries, pulp and paper mills and sugar manufacturing are now required to prepare an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for submission to MONREC to obtain the necessary approvals within one year of the date of the announcement.
